We closed out our Coffee and Convos series with great events in Covington and Lilburn! I'm so happy to be able to get out in the community and I can't wait to continue once I'm in Congress.
Good morning Georgia! Polls are officially open!
Our government can find billions for defense spending, but when it comes to scientific research and grants that help solve real-world problems, suddenly there’s no money? Republicans don't have their priorities straight. When I'm in Congress, I'll make sure that we do.
Last week, I was honored to meet with Lovejoy Mayor Marci Fluellyn and Rockdale County Commissioner Tuwanya Smith. It’s been so eye opening to discuss plans for the 13th with the leaders on the ground already doing the work and I’m excited to collaborate with them in DC.
Last week I hit the runway for a Threads of Change GOTV fashion show to remind young voters of how important their vote in this election. What a fun night of fashion, fun, and civic engagement!

This administration has spent the last two years sowing distrust in public health and spreading conspiracy theories. Rebuilding that trust won’t be easy, but I’m committed to doing the what it takes to earn it back in this next Congress.
RFK Jr.’s MAHA promised a healthier America. Instead, we’re seeing attacks on scientific research, the largest measles outbreak in 3 decades, weakened public health institutions, and conspiracy theories. It’s a disgrace. I’m running to bring facts and logic back to Washington.

This past weekend I welcomed my friends Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Senator Andy Kim to Conyers for a rally and canvass launch! Democrats are fired up to elect the first woman with a science PhD to Congress, and to elect Jon Ossoff, Keisha Lance Bottoms, and Democrats up and down the ballot!

Why does having a science voice in Congress matter? Because RFK Jr. is waging a war on science while American researchers are being forced to fight for the funding they need to save lives. Americans deserve better than an HHS secretary who treats science like the enemy. That's why I'm running!
This past week, I met with Covington Councilman Dwayne Turner to talk about the concerns of Covington residents. We spoke about the importance of collaboration between the federal and local levels. I look forward to working together to address the needs of Newton County!
Every time politicians prioritize big corporations over working families, someone pays the price. It’s the family struggling with child care costs or the senior worried about prescription prices. We need a government for the everyday people. That’s why I’m running for Congress.
On Thursday I joined leaders from across Atlanta in my home congregation of Salem Missionary Baptist Church for a panel on why our vote is important. The message was clear! Early voting has been strong but we can’t let up!
